Galleria Art Studio is a wonderful facility providing quality art tuition in a relaxing and safe environment. All our childrens' teachers are experienced and have up-to-date working with children checks. We have also had the pleasure of hosting outside artists who have enjoyed our lively studio space. UWA Extension's 'Drawing for Non Drawers' workshop now also takes place in this purpose set-up studio.
Our overriding philosophy is to provide excellence in art tuition in an enjoyable and safe environment. Our programs are designed to enhance individual knowledge while teaching an expanded skill set to both children and adults.

Our Founder - Karen Frankel
Galleria Art Studio was established, by Karen Frankel, in 2003 with a small group of 5 students. Karen shared her drawing skills with enthusiastic adults in a scout hall on the banks of the Swan River in Mount Lawley. A couple of years later the kids’ classes began with keen young artists exploring their creativity with mandalas, kites, painting and drawing. Karen was fulfilling her dream to bring the pleasure of art to children and adults alike.
As the number of classes and students grew a permanent home for the studio was sought and Karen found premises in Walcott Street, Mount Lawley. They became a hub of artistic energy in 2006. With more opportunity to expand Karen hired dedicated and passionate artist teachers to join the studio. Classes were then added to offer five year old ‘Little Artists’ and Teens an art experience. Due to high demand, adult watercolours and acrylics were soon added to the classes on offer.
In January 2011 Karen moved the art school into the current space in Morley and the fabulous colour wheel logo became the studio branding. It was created using Karen’s unique tissue paper.
In 2019 Karen sold Galleria Art Studio to Mukami Ireri. However, she continued as a teacher for the Adult Drawing classes until 2021 when she retired.
